WE ARE LIVE! Our Summer Academy registration is open. This summer we are returning to Whitworth University and Plantes Ferry Park for training. You can find information on our summer sessions below
AS OF 3/29/2025 THIS SESSION IS AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY AND WE CANNOT ADD ANY MORE PLAYERS. WE WILL SEE IF WE CAN ARRANGE FOR A FEW MORE FREE SESSIONS THIS SPRING. To get our youngest age groups kicking in early we are also going to be doing a FREE 3 day spring break session for the 2014,15 & 16 age groups. If you would like more information on that please email me at km@spokanesoccer.com! Space is limited so tell your friends if you would like to do this with players on your team! Dates will be Sat-Mon April 5,6 & 7. Location will likely be near the Valley. I will communicate everything with those that reach out to us.
In August we will have our annual HSG Preseason Clinic at Whitworth University. Be sure to register early as this session can fill very quickly.
We will be making an announcement in the very near future that will impact what we are able to do over the course of the year. Change is sometimes inevitable but it can be a good thing!
SUMMER WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT! We are excited that your family are looking at training with us this summer and look forward to providing you with a FUN and CHALLENGING training environment!
Our training sessions for the summer will consist of a 5 week session format with two 90 minute training sessions each week. Our goal is to provide enjoyment and development. With that in mind our goal is to consistently challenge players at every session. At our younger age groups challenges will be a part of the program but fun and enjoyment MUST be the primary focus. For children to be develop a life long love for the sport of soccer it has to be fun when we are young and in "PLAY MODE"!
Our sessions are different. They are built to promote love for the game but we also place high emphasis on learning and establishing good training habits so that players continually grow in our academy environment. That has been our methodology for teaching since our inception in 2001! We are only young for so long so and we really want our participants to enjoy what they are doing, so we will mix fun activities with skill based training that they can build on over time.
Not everyone has high goals for their soccer pathway but we have always designed our sessions to become more and more challenging as players continue to work with us over the years. That is why we are able to serve players at all skill levels and with different goals. We have had players that come to train and play with us because they just love our environment and we have a lot of others who come to train with us because they have high goals and have seen the success that we have had over the years with players that had a similar mindset.
Whether you are looking for fun and enjoyment or for serious training to get you to your next level, we are able to provide that better than anyone in Spokane.
2017-2019 Birth Years ... Reinforcing Joy and the Love for Playing Soccer
This is our introductory age group and most of our participants are just getting started in the game, so we make sure that this session revolves around fun and enjoyment over anything else. We also start these young players on their journey in soccer by introducing some skill based training and soccer specific agility. If the group is up to it we may combine them in with the age group above them from time to time, just to show them what the next level of focus and training can be. To keep this session's participants focused we will build a snack time in for them so please make sure to send a small snack with your child!
2014-2016 Birth Years ... Establishing a Foundation to Grow From!
At this age we believe in making sure players have a solid foundation to grow from. To that end we do more individual skill based training and then encourage our participants to apply them in our smaller game formats. Our process involves having players in unopposed (no pressure) and opposed (with pressure) environments when learning different skill sets. We will give participants drills / exercises that they can replicate on their own away from organized training environments to continue their growth in the game. More often than not, players that train with us at this age establish things that allow them to excel quicker in our older sessions as they continue to train with us.
2011-2013 Birth Years ... A Shift to a More Competitive Mindset
We continue to focus on building the foundational fundamentals so that players continue to grow and develop in their soccer journey by increasing the difficulty, encouraging more speed and placing them under more and more pressure as we train. Sometime this pressure is a stronger voice of encouragement as they are training. We also try to make sure players understand the importance of their training mentality. More specifically to focus on what is being done and how to "master the movement" so that speed can be added. Still, fun and enjoyment are always an important part of all training and we make sure that is a part of each training session.
2010 & Above... the "Advanced Academy"
This is the session if for players that have a very competitive mindset. While it is still open to all players at all levels, the priority is to challenge the best players in our community so they can prepare for their next level The things we do will not be "easy". Players newer to the game are more than welcome to join in but it is VERY important that they have the understanding that we will coach to a higher caliber of player and that the environment is high paced and will require a very competitive mindset. Players registering for this session must find fun and enjoyment in being challenged and competitive. This is not a session to start fundamentals or to ease into learning the game. While our session is not limited to those hoping to play college soccer most of our participants will typically be that kind of player.

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL PRESEASON CLINIC!
This is one of our favorite sessions and is open to all. While we do make it more challenging and competitive we also try to make sure that our players are exposed to the importance of encouraging one another and involving one another. We want to encourage incoming freshmen to be bold during tryouts and not to fear making an impact. We we also what upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) to know what it actually means to lead and to create an environment that will allow for competitive success. Holding players accountable is important but also "reading the room" and knowing when to have a meaningful and encouraging conversation can be the difference between winning and losing big games. We will have senior leaders that will help in the conversations we hold over the week and encourage them to really share what made them nervous going into their first high school tryout.
Training Fee: $350 per player / 2nd child $50 off / 3rd+ child $125 off.
** If families are struggling financially please contact Kevin directly at km@spokanesoccer.com and we will try to work something out as we do not want financial situations to prevent kids from participating.
For our HSG Preseason Clinic the training fee is $175 and is a stand alone session so no discounts apply.
Reminders:
* Dates and times subject to change until May 20
* No play-ups - Please do not ask. If we decide the environment is not right for a player and that they need to be bumped up we will INVITE them to move.
* All players must be picked up on time.
* Shin guards are mandatory for training and playing at every age
*Always dress for the weather and bring lots of water!
