Winter Registration is open to all families, new and returning! We are planning on taking between 25-30 players for each session, so be sure to register early if you are planning on training with us! We currently already have around 20 players registered across our sessions.
Build Game-Changing Soccer Specific Speed & Agility
Our Winter Academy integrates speed and agility ladders, dribble cones, and soccer-specific warm-ups to give players an edge where it matters most — on the field.
These tools are not just fitness drills; they are carefully designed to replicate the movements of the game, helping players improve:
By blending technical ball work with proven speed and agility methods, we prepare athletes to move faster, react quicker in a soccer specific manner which will allow them to compete with confidence.
Proven Training. Proven Results.
At our Academy, we utilize specialized drills developed over more than 20 years to help players move fluidly and confidently in game situations.
Training includes:
Our sessions are unique, intentional, and proven. The results speak for themselves: Spokane’s top high school and collegiate players — and even a handful of players that play professionally — have come through our system of training and continue to train with us when they are in town.
Our Winter Training Environment
During the winter months, we move our training indoors to ensure a safe — and warm — environment for all players. Because we are on a hard surface, we use futsal balls, which offer unique developmental benefits.
Futsal balls are slightly smaller and heavier than a standard soccer ball, with less bounce. This design encourages players to:
Futsal training translates directly to the outdoor game, helping players become quicker, sharper, and more confident in their technical ability.
Training for Every Level
Our Academy is not just for the “best of the best", although our oldest session is geared towards pushing older players hard. Every player starts somewhere, and we love helping younger athletes build the foundation they need to grow and improve. While we do not recommend that new or inexperienced players join our high school–aged sessions (2010 & above), we are more than happy to welcome new players into any of our other age groups.
Our goal is simple: meet players where they are, give them the tools to succeed, and create an environment where they can develop a lifelong love for the game.
If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them just send me an email at km@spokanesoccer.com

2015-2017 Birth Years – Reinforcing Joy and the Love for Playing Soccer
This is our introductory age group and most of our participants are just getting started in the game, so we make sure that this session revolves around fun and enjoyment over anything else. We also start these young players on their journey in soccer by introducing some skill based training and soccer specific agility. If the group is up to it we may combine them in with the age group above them from time to time, just to show them what the next level of focus and training can be. To keep this session's participants focused we will build a snack time in for them so please make sure to send a small snack with your child!
2013-2014 Birth Years – Establishing a Foundation to Grow From!
At this age we believe in making sure players have a solid foundation to grow from. To that end we do more individual skill based training and then encourage our participants to apply them in our smaller game formats. Our process involves having players in unopposed (no pressure) and opposed (with pressure) environments when learning different skill sets. We will give participants drills / exercises that they can replicate on their own away from organized training environments to continue their growth in the game. More often than not, players that train with us at this age establish things that allow them to excel quicker in our older sessions as they continue to train with us.
2011-2012 Birth Years – A Shift to a More Competitive Mindset
We continue to focus on building the foundational fundamentals so that players continue to grow and develop in their soccer journey by increasing the difficulty, encouraging more speed and placing them under more and more pressure as we train. Sometime this pressure is a stronger voice of encouragement as they are training. We also try to make sure players understand the importance of their training mentality. More specifically to focus on what is being done and how to "master the movement" so that speed can be added. Still, fun and enjoyment are always an important part of all training and we make sure that is a part of each training session.
2010 & Above – The "Advanced Academy"
This session is NOT a session for new players just starting to learn fundamentals or just starting out. This training environment will be more complex and demanding. Please make sure your player is very competitive and able to keep up with top players in our community.
This is the session for players that have a very competitive mindset. The priority is to challenge the best players in our community so they can prepare for their next level. The things we do will not be "easy". Players newer to the game are more than welcome to join in but it is VERY important that they have the understanding that we will coach to a higher caliber of player and that the environment is high paced and will require a very competitive mindset.
Players registering for this session must find fun and enjoyment in being challenged and competitive.
